Software update

A couple of changes have been made to the software running on the site in the last couple of days.

The first is the addition of a "human" test to the Contact Author form to screen out spam bots. Please let us know at the help email address if you get any spam emails which have come through our site.

The other change is purely cosmetic: the series and reviews pages now have better titles so they won't appear in browser tabs with just the site name.

As always, if you encounter any bugs, please let us know at the help email address.

Just a suggestion

There are times that I'm looking for certain unusual pairups in stories, such as the Seventh Doctor meets Rose Tyler, or there is one where Jackie meets the Original Doctor. With the way things are listed now, I have to go through hundreds of stories to find what I'm looking for.
I would like to see all of the subcategories available to all of the categories in the advanced search. Using multi-era isn't very useful, as I get a characters' normal connections along with the more unusual ones I'm searching for.

Re: Just a suggestion

That's a bit odd - I'd have expected if I selected two characters that it'd give me stories with both characters in. But it's giving me stories that either character is in.

I'm a big fan of your site but I do find it quite irritating that I am continually asked to verify over and over that I am "of age" to read stories containing adult material. Plus, I generally want to open links in a new tab and I can't do that for ones that have the adult restriction.

If possible, it would be really great if you could add a birthdate field to the user profile (optional of course!) and have the site bypass the warnings.

I'm not sure how hard this would be to implement but perhaps it's something that could be kept in mind? :-)

Thanks again for all the hard work you put in on the site.

That could be arranged...

That would be wonderful! Thanks for considering it. :-)
