Hey, sorry if I'm doing this wrong.


I've begun to write a Season 24 fic, featuring the 7th Doctor and Mel. However, I'm having trouble writing it, and just wanted to see if anyone was interestedin being a co-writer or such.


It's set after Time and the Rani (and before the Big Finish audio Unregenerate!). The Doctor and Mel find themselves mistaken for Mediators, and are forced to attend the will reading of Charles Maxian, along with several crime lords. Maxiam had claimed to be the Ghost, a mysterious costumed figure (kind of an anti-Batman) who created the criminal system employed on the planet (It's set on an Earth colony, in the time of the Galactic Federation from the Peladon stories.) When they get there, however, it seems Maxian isn't dead after all... (Yeah, big twist, I know)


As I said, it's a Season 24 fic (an era that's very unrepresentedin Who fiction) so the Doctor is still in his goofy, proverb-misquoting persona. However, he will show signs of the dark manipulator he will become, and it also incporates the New Adventures mythology, such as the Doctor being Time's Champion.


I do plan to finish it, even if by myself. I just decided to post this because I do think having a co-writer would help. So if this sounds like something interesting, tell me.

I'm not sure if anyone else is getting this issue so I figured I'd ask.

My latest submission has disappeared overnight, twice now, so I'm guessing it's been rejected although I've no idea why. The reason I don't know, is because I haven't received any rejection emails, so I've no idea where to even start looking for a fault.

My main worry though is is this just me or a general issue? Has anyone else had a story rejected but not received the email? If it's a larger issue then the admins need to be made aware of it. If it's just me then any help/suggestions would be appreciated.

I use yahoo and I've never had a problem before getting emails through from whofic, so I'm rather stumped. And yes, before anyone asks, even though I have a filter in place to send all whofic mails to their own folder, I did check my spam folder just in case and there's nothing there either.

I am woefully untutored in the ways of this forum, so if I am doing this wrong, please forgive me and let me know what my errors are.

I would like to find a beta reader/editor for a story I am working. I am, sadly, an American and would like to get rid of the Americanisms in the story. I have posted on "Teaspoon and an Open Mind" as RudeAndQuiteGinger. For a number of reasons (moving, changing email, forgetting my password) I am now 10lover on that site and haven't posted anything under that username yet.

I've been working on a story for awhile. I'll tell enough of the plot to not give anything away to see if you're interested. Ian Noble (Doctor II) and Rose are in the AU. Ian losses his memory and Dr. Martha Jones and Dr. Tom Mulligan can't figure out why. So we see Ian and Rose's past through Rose's memories. Does it have anything to do with the 10th Doctor in Universe Prime? Can't say without revealing the end.

Hello. My name is Kesomon. Some of you might know me from a while back, though I haven't posted anything recent. I've been suffering writer's block, which has just recently lifted.

If anyone remembers my Project Gallifrey series, you know that it's been almost two years since I started part 3. I'm in need of a beta for this story. It's not yet finished, though it's getting there. My previous beta hasn't been active in the fandom for a while.

I need someone comfortable and well-versed in writing Ten's voice, especially his Oncoming Storm bravado when ranting at an enemy for their wrongdoings. I attempt it and he comes off sounding like Delgado's Master. Someone who can write good bad guys is also welcome. You should also somewhat familiar with the Third Doctor story The Green Death, and The Planet of the Spiders, as both are relevent to this section of the series.

So far, this story is 21k+ words, and will probably reach 30k+ at least by the time it's done. Its PG, Gen/Action/Drama, and AU from the end of Season 2. I didn't want to bother individual beta-readers marked on Teaspoon when I don't know who'd be comfortable reading this story.

If this isn't alright to post, I'll delete it. I'm just frustrated with being unable to move on from the problematic sections, and at my rope's end.

There's a new checkbox on the advanced search page. When switched on, as it is by default, your search will only match stories containing all of the characters you have selected. For instance, if you select "Jamie McCrimmon" and "Amy Pond", you'll only get stories with both Jamie and Amy in.

If you turn the checkbox off, it will go back to the behavior it had previously, so in the previous example, you would get a list of stories with either Jamie or Amy in.

We've received some questions recently about whether we allow spoilers in fic summaries. Here's our policy for this situation:

Spoilers in fic summaries are allowed once the episode has aired in the UK. However, with episodes in several other countries running close behind the UK schedule, some Teaspoon readers prefer not to be spoiled, so you may wish to consider that when writing your summaries.

Okay, I read the first half of this fic a long time ago... I believe it was on A Teaspoon and An Open mind, but I can't be sure.

The story takes place in Pete's world and was written before Meta existed. While in Pete's world Rose hears / sees the TARDIS landing and runs over to it, thinking it's Ten. In fact it is that unvierse's Doctor, who is Eight. They start traveling together.

I'm pretty sure that later in the story they go to Seattle and the Doctor gets slapped in the face by a fish at the Pike's Place Fish Market (where they throw the fish around) and it's eventually revealed that in this Universe the Doctor actually did some real damage to the Daleks waaaaay back in "Genisis Of the Daleks" turning them into a peaceful race.

Anyone know the story I'm talking about?

I posted a story on the 10th that was validated on the 11th; I posted a story on the 13th that hasn't been validated yet. If the moderators are simply busy, that's understandable and I'm in no hurry, but I want to make sure that everything's connecting the way it's supposed to.

I'm trying to find this fic I read a year or so ago. It involves the TARDIS watching one too many wildlife documentaries and trying to instigate a mating program between the Doctor and the Master. She does this by tying the Master to a bed and locking the Doctor in with him. Snarkage happens and the Evil Overlords Handbook in involved. Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

I'm looking for a fic I read some time ago over on Teaspoon.  I can't remember the title or author, and all of my searches have come up with naught.  It's a Master/Rose fic set in the parallel universe, and I'm sure it was completed.   I remember  that each chapter was titled after a flower, and flowers seemed to be tied into the story (the Master giving a flower to Rose the first time he meets her on Bad Wolf Bay, etc).  It was actually really poignant and touching.  I hope it hasn't been deleted!  Does anyone remember this fic?

Hi, just joined. I'm looking for a fic that I don't know exists, but am convinced it must. What if the TARDIS had never been recovered in "The Impossible Planet"/"The Satan Pit"? The idea came to me while I was watching the episode for the first time, and is a fairly obvious hook.

Also, I'd like to suggest that we could get an actual forum for the website. It would make things a lot easier.

I am very new to fanfic, livejournal, and posting my fic.  I have a first chapter, begins with Rose and the human Doctor, but main story will be focused on Jack/Rose, occurs during COE and then goes non-canon.  It's my "fix Jack" idea.  I hope this is where to post this request.  Thank you!
